Creative Albuquerque is committed to increasing connectivity and shared knowledge, stimulating entrepreneurship and employment growth, championing supportive policy and identifying sustainable funding sources -- all for the benefit of the creative community. The following organizations directly relate to and/or support these objectives:
GOVERNMENT
City of Albuquerque Cultural Services Department is comprised of some of our greatest arts and cultural assets including (among others) the BioPark, the Museum of Art & History, the KiMo, the Public Libraries and the Public Art program.
City of Albuquerque Economic Development Department (EDD) works to create, diversity and enhance job growth and to promote business development and stability.
City of Albuquerque Film Office, part of EDD, offers free dependable assistance to filmmakers, acts as a liaison with city agencies and assists in obtaining location, equipment and hotel accommodations.
City of Albuquerque Public Art, part of Cultural Services, administers the City's Public Art collection, which consists of works that relate to the physical, social, cultural and historical qualities of the community.
New Mexico Arts and Cultural District Program, a division of the State Economic Development Department, helps communities turn their vision into commerce, tourism, artistic growth and civic pride.
New Mexico MainStreet Program, also a division of the State Economic Development Department, is a grassroots economic development initiative that assists communities in revitalizing their traditional commercial neighborhoods.
NONPROFIT
Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACVB) stimulates economic growth by marketing Albuquerque as a world-class convention and visitor destination.
Albuquerque Economic Development (AED) recruits business and industry to generate quality job opportunities in the metro area and provides confidential assistance to businesses considering the area for expansion and new investment.
Americans for the Arts is dedicated to representing and serving local communities and creating opportunities for every American to participate in and appreciate all forms of the arts.
Center for Nonprofit Excellence, a program of the United Way of Central New Mexico, works to build the capacity of nonprofits in our state for the benefit of our communities.
Downtown Action Team (DAT) works to creatively plan, manage and develop Downtown Albuquerque to become the best mid-sized Downtown in the United States.
Global Center for Cultural Entrepreneurship (GCEE) cultivates thought, leadership and advocacy to foster an environment in which cultural entrepreneurs can successfully scale their cultural enterprises.
WESST (The Women's Economic Self-sufficiency Team) is a statewide economic development organization committed to growing New Mexico's economy by cultivating entrepreneurship, with a particular emphasis on low-income women and minorities.
WESTAF (Western States Arts Federation) works for the creative advancement and preservation of the arts and aims to strengthen the financial, organizational and policy infrastructure of the arts - particularly among its thirteen member states.
