Creative shopping in the North Valley! La Parada offers a rich and eclectic array of items from local artists and artisans from around the world. You can find folk art, home & garden décor, jewelry, vintage clothing, retro kitchen items, and more! Folk art from New Mexican artists, Talavera garden pottery from Mexico, Oil-drum art from Haiti, textiles from Brazil, and Jewelry from Oaxaca are examples of items you will find at La Parada. La Parada also hosts free community events several times a year like Día de los Muertos Sugar Skull workshop in October, North Fourth Holiday Stop & Shop in December, Women & Creativity in March, Cinco de Mayo Folk Art Festival in May, and Shop Around the World in July/August. We also participate as vendors in other events such as Lavender Festival in June and Globalquerque in September! La Parada is located in a beautiful and historic stage-coach stop in the North Valley on a 13 acre property of lush grass and alfalfa.
