Patricia Forbes’ art pieces shimmer and glisten with light reflecting off of iridescent metallic finishes, rich textures and vibrant colors.
Shapes float and intersect in wide-open visual spaces. Some pieces are meditative or Zen-like. Others are whimsical or evoke fantasy worlds. A personal and unique sensitivity to color and style is recognizable in all of her work.
According to ALBUQUERQUE THE MAGAZINE Patricia is 2007’s “Best Local Artist” and 2008’s “Best Of The Rest” (local artist second place).
Patricia’s asymmetrical mirror frames earned a spot on “That’s Clever!”, an HGTV show that features artists from around the country presenting cool creative projects.
Patricia studied art at Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia and College Art Study in Paris, France.
Her work is sold at Patrician Design in Albuquerque, Occasions! by design in Scottsdale, Arizona and OpusArte in Kansas City., Missouri as well as on line at http://www.NewMexicoCreates.org. and http://www.PatriciaForbesArt.com .
