Immediately upon moving to Albuquerque in July 2009, Julia fell in love with the city, particularly with our extraordinary art (in the broadest possible sense of 'art') community. She considers her job as Associate Director, Programs and Communications, at Creative Albuquerque an immense privilege, as it affords her the opportunity to work with and on behalf of Burque's creatives. Every day.

Julia is also the co-founder and -chair of Emerge Albuquerque, an informal group that brings together young(ish) creative professionals in dialogue and collaboration, encouraging spaces for innovation, passion and playfulness. Emerge aspires to nurture and keep alight the creative spirit of our community -- and, in so doing, to make Albuquerque the best place in the whole universe.

At 27, Julia has over ten years of experience in the arts, humanities and creative economy fields. In her not-so-abundant spare time, she is a freelance writer.
