ABOUT US
History
Creative Albuquerque emerged in January 2010 after serving the arts community for more than 25 years as the Arts Alliance. Our transformation was a response to findings of the 2007 UNM BBER Study. "The Economic Importance of the Arts & Cultural Industries," determinations made by the A&C Industries Leadership Team and conclusions reached at a series of Town Hall meetings. These outcomes illustrated the arts and cultural community's desire for a powerful central organization to represent its broader interests, promote its sustainability and champion its continued development. Creative Albuquerque exists to provide these supports and - in so doing - aims to grow the creative economy.
